Things not to do when playing online blackjack
You’d think that playing online blackjack is an easy way to win some money, but it isn’t all that easy in real life.
Like a real life casino, an online casino is made to get you to lose as much money as they can, so they go out of their way to make playing as appealing and comfortable. When you sign up for an account, you’ll be welcomes with some bonus credit that you’ll most likely lose very soon, but it will be enough to interest you in playing some more.
And while the world of online blackjack is full of traps for young, inexperienced players, it can also be a great place once you learn the dos and don’ts of the game. Let’s start with some basics that most players are aware of but fail to do them in real life.
Don’t drink and play online Blackjack
Maybe sipping on a beer and playing a game of online blackjack sounds like a perfect way to spend a rainy night, but if you’re serious about actually winning some money, you have to learn not to mix alcohol with the game. A couple of drinks is ok, but getting hammered while playing online blackjack is a bad idea on so many levels. You’ll most likely wake up the next morning with a killing headache, wondering what happened to your account and where did all the tokens go. Not only does alcohol impair your reasoning and slow down your response, it will make you feel over confident and do stupid things. Remember all the silly things that seem like a good idea when you’re drunk? The same goes for online blackjack. You’ll most likely make bold but crazy moves and rely on your luck only to realize that luck isn’t on your side this night. If you start feeling dizzy, it’s time to call it a day and continue playing online blackjack when you’re sober.
Set your limits
This is a hard thing to do to both new and old players. Actually, setting limits is easy, but sticking to them is the hard part. You can probably imagine the scenario – you have a limit of, say, $1000 and you’re on a winning streak, so you don’t feel like stopping at a grand now that the luck is finally on your side. If you don’t stop at the limit, you probably won’t stop until you’ve lost all you’ve won, and that’s why sticking to limits is so important. Not to mention the bottom limit which is even more important because it keeps you from trying to sell your kidney online in order to get more money just to get back on track and win that lost money over. This piece of advice might sound like something everyone already knows, but that’s the whole point. What’s the use if we tell you a winning strategy if you can’t learn to control yourself?
