Jackpot Games Online Casino Nominated for Prestigious e-Gaming Review Award

The online casino operator Jackpot Games is shortlisted by leading industry publication, e-Gaming Review, for the One to Watch Award 2010, following a period of growth and innovation in its first year of operation.

SLIEMA, MALTA, October 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ — Jackpot Games Ltd announced today that it has been shortlisted for the One to Watch award from the online gaming magazine, E-Gaming Review, after the publication released the list of candidates on the 20th October.

The Malta-based online casino launched in April this year and is home to over 90 instant play casino games. Its candidature for the highly valued accolade demonstrates the appeal the brand has and the company’s plans for the coming months and 2011. Jackpot Games CEO, Ramon Azzopardi, highlighted this by commenting:

“Jackpot Games has come a long way quickly, and has no intentions of resting on a solid start. The company roadmap for 2011 demonstrates that we are prepared to not only invest but to innovate to secure the company’s position and to bring the Jackpot Games level of experience and service to new markets. It is this combination that no doubt played a large part in our nomination.”

The casino is preparing to broadcast multiple live casino games to its TV channel, Sky Channel 860 as well as simultaneously to its website. Integral to this project, and firmly part of the road map, is a mobile betting platform that will allow players to play via mobile phones- plus a unique offering of RNG mobile casino games that will also cater for multi-player experience all set to launch early next year.

In an environment of economic uncertainty and legislative change the industry has largely sought to consolidate in 2010. The One to Watch award, therefore, is an opportunity to celebrate those firms that have invested and innovated in 2010 so that they are well positioned for a strong 2011. Azzopardi pointed to Jackpot Games’ launch, investment in TV, future scope and early success as showing the potential for new, European-focused online casino brands in 2010 and beyond, also adding:

“The title of the award suggests the focus is directed at those firms that have seen change in 2010 as an opportunity and to those that have laid the foundation now for success in 2011. We believe Jackpot Games has done just this and nomination is credit to that vision and the team behind it. We look forward to the award ceremony on the 24th November 2010 in London.”

Jackpot Games
is based in Malta and licensed by the Government of Malta within the EU. It offers over 90 different casino games through NetEnt software and is independently audited for game fairness. The company supports responsible gaming and complies with local and international law.
